Brushing Teeth in Undies (BANNED!)
The original “Brushing Teeth in Undies” (which is shown in its entirety at the beginning of this remake) was shot in July 2007 and was our very first viral video success, having been watched by over 200,000 people. In February 2008, Metacafe introduced a new rule and removed this video, among others, from their site. Not to be deterred, we created this new, “cinematic” version and re-uploaded it. See what you think of the changes…

And if you like it, how about showing Metacafe what you think?!

Thanks!
“Not exceptional or entertaining”?!!!!
“Brushing Teeth In Undies” is *enormously* entertaining! And highly exceptional too. I know I couldnt do it anywhere near as good as Mona.
That is a great take on “Director’s Cut” giving new meaning to what happens when scenes get cut.
What location is that shot at? (the beach)
Thanks. We shot that at Venice Beach.
jed, somehow you remind me of tarantino…not sure why
People have been telling me that I remind them of him for years actually– even before I started putting myself in films despite the fact that I can’t act…
that was well worth 5 stars.. there was special effects in there.. thats allot better then most of this crap thats on here..
I enjoyed it for the undies and the idea.. both were great.
I like how Jed gives a quick smile while in Liv’s body. Almost like, “cool…”. I laughed pretty hard seeing him in that wig. I wonder what kind of surprise the lady in the pink running on the beach will get when she picks up that toothbrush?
I hope Metacafe appreciates this! Great job!
that was more than impressive. i mean picking up a brush and starting to use it,,, i mean did you know who used it before you ? and for what ? but of course you’ll get over this after a while…
in the mean time… Was that really a joke or the original video was really banned? Pls tell…
I was gonna make one about flossing. I’m all confused and dnt know what to do next.
I’ve started working on the script and now I have to decide…
I think it’s utterly childish of them (Metacafe) to do this. If there are new rules, apply those to NEW entries, not to stuff that has already established an audience. Maybe you should take away all your stuff there, and boycott them. But then, I know it’s easy for me to say.
I think you did a good job of giving the video the effect that the guy character was mostly alone on the beach.
Jed Gillen is simply a poet of the post-modern cinema. Seriously now, would Metacafe consider banning a heretofore undiscovered work by Bergman, Tarkovsky, Resnais, Kubrick or Nicolas Roeg? So-called great films such as The Seventh Seal, 2001: A Space Odyssey or Hiroshima Mon Amour can be seen as mere trifles lacking lacking in depth, rigor and intellectual sophistication when when compared with Brushing Teeth in Undies.
Furthermore, Mona Gillen in a bikini re-defines the meaning of feminine sensuality and erotic allure for contemporary audiences. ANY depiction of Mona attired in a bikini (or less) is, by definition, both interesting and exceptional.
Future patrons of the cinematic arts will come to appreciate Brushing Teeth in Undies as an artistic touchstone of the early 21st century. Brushing Teeth in Undies will continue to inspire audiences with its daring and exciting vision long after Metacafe is relegated to the dustbin of history.
Maybe metacafe banned the video because Mona was wearing blooomers (aka Granny Panties) Or maybe metacafe is run by people who are offended by oral hygiene?
How could anybody say the content of that video is not exceptional? Do they have their _eyes_ _closed_????!?
