Giant Hippie Pants
Okay, so this one is pretty out there; you may very well be tempted to suspect that we’ve been sampling the product. Essentially what happened is that we were hired to do an ad for a company that makes “yoga pants”– except the pants they sent us weren’t yoga pants (i.e., tight, fashionable workout gear) at all, but Thai fisherman pants (kind of like hospital scrubs made for a polar bear)! We asked if it was okay if we renamed the product “Giant Hippie Pants” and mildly made fun of it and, to their credit, they agreed. Check out www.foldoverpants.com if you’d like to purchase your own pair of Giant Hippie Pants– know any polar bears in the nursing profession?

Its kind of like watching “Memento”….sort of..
That was actually pretty horrible.
That was the worst video you guys have ever made, even though the pants are kinda cool and I think I’ll buy a pair.
If you don’t like the video, I understand. It’s a little different from what we normally do, kind of weird and experimental, and we really weren’t sure how people were going to react to it. But, uh… James and Randy? Go fuck yourselves.
I loved this video! All the little things you put in here made it a lot of fun, and it was really creative. Am I weird because I don’t think this video is weird? It’s funny and entertaining. I liked the still shots of Jed and Anna, the extended Mona hug, and the “how to make a video about yoga pants” scene at the end (I hope people pay attention to this part). Nice work!
Well I liked it a lot; it appealed to my sense of odd, thanks.
Besides that, If someone doesn’t like it, isn’t it rude to describe it as ‘horrible’ to the maker? What happened to common manners and treating people well, as you’d wish to be treated?
AAAAJAJAJAJAAJAJAJAAAA!!!! MUY BUENOOO!!!! Excelent!!!
Definitely different, but an entertaining couple of minutes…have to try new stuff right? Looks like you guys had a blast making it…keep ‘em coming, I’m watching!
Well, it’s hard to be critical of anything featuring the adorable Mona looking her usual cute self. And Anna Bohn has never appeared more delectable than here. But let’s face it: this effort pales in comparison to Bikini Sports Injury, Ron Paul Girl or the unforgettable Brushing Teeth in Undies (The Director’s Cut). One thing that makes Liv Films productions so enjoyable is Jed’s willingness to experiment, to “push the envelope” as it were. That being said, it should be understood that even a lesser Liv effort is many times more enjoyable than 95%+ of what is shown elsewhere on Metacafe. What will be really interesting to observe is Jed’s expanding ouerve and if his output will more closely track that of directors such as Ingmar Bergman, Tarkovsky and Kubrick (many masterful films accompanied by only a handful of experimental failures) or that of auteurs such as Welles, Bogdanovich, Riefenstahl and Walter Hill (1-3 iconic masterworks surrounded by multiple titles that fail to fulfill the promise implied in earlier creations). Cue the song by ASIA “Only Time Will Tell”…
Great job, Jed! I’ll have to get a pair!
Love this one. The idea of getting some ridiculous product and having to find a way to market it is brilliant.
I know this probably means we aren’t friends anymore, but I actually think the pants look kind of cool.
I think those would fit me well, and complement my unique sense of style. Plus, the video was interesting and quite creative.
Nothing wrong with mixing it up every now and then; I still thought it was pretty sweet. Are you guys selling the pants online?
